SUMMER!!

hurray! for those of you not living in edmonton these days, summer has sucked. There has pretty much been no hot days...until now! this week is gonna be stellar. Last weekend wasn't too bad except the wind storm that almost blew every tree in the city down...ok not for real but it was really windy with lots of lightning and thunder. good storm.

We got together for richard's birthday which was on saturday the 18th. He's the big 25!! old right?? ha...i should talk. We went over to Laine and Blakes house as they were kind enough to host the party as i was playing in provincials this weekend. We did bad and thus didn't win. We had some tasty food over at their house and then richard proceeded to blow out the candles on his TRANSFORMERS cake. That's right folks I said 25 not 5....oddly enough. It was a really good cake, thanks laine for getting that. Chris and ashley, mom and dad D and mom and dad S were also there as well.

Decklan is doing awesome, almost ready to turn 2 in august, still loving daycare and finally starting to say some real words instead of hot all the time, though he found out what the meant when he so helpingly pushed the oven rack back in with his bare hand. He'll be fine. it's healing already. He definitely likes pushing the boundaries around here, constantly getting into the video games and controllers and such. Everytime the phone rings he goes HEEELLOOO!!! and then makes a very fast break for the phone. You gotta be quick around here. a skill which both richard and i both lack.

We've been out to the lake a couple times this year already and are looking forward to going out next week as i am finally on a week of holidays! Richard has been on lots of holidays already. hope everyone is well. happy summer!!
