Ok, so to start, not the week that just passed but the one before, I got to go to Eveline Charles and have a spa day. richard's mom came and babysat decklan for me showing up bright and early to watch him. I was out the door at 8:15. I was a couple minutes late but their computers were down so they didn't know i was late. anyway, to start off my services i got a one hour massage. it was fantastic, carrying around a 21 pound baby all day long does wonders for the back so she worked on it good. the next part was a body butter wrap. i chose shea butter because my body is sooo dry in the winter it's unreal, so i get exfoliated, covered in body butter and then wrapped in plastic and warm sheets for about 30min. it was so nice i fell asleep and woke myself up with my snoring. sexy i know. the next part of my treatment was a pedicure. richard is always tellin' me how dry my feet are and they were cracking on the sides and such so i thought it would be a good idea. So she scrubbed, rubbed and moisturized(i know it doesn't rhyme) my feet and man do they feel nice. I also got to have lunch with jonthan and do a few errands that i haven't been able to do. So thank you again Pam for babysitting Decklan and for the gift of the spa day.
The next part is Richard and I were going to jasper this past weekend. We have sunshine/marmot ski passes where the 1,4, and 7 trips are free and we were on our 4th so we figured we would use our free day before the season ended. So on friday night i had some friends over and then around 10 we drove decklan over to Gramma and Grandpa's house. They were more than excited to see him and be watching him for a couple days. We gave the instructions, left the numbers(I'm such a mom) and then came back home. What a wonderful sleep we had that night, uninterrupted, though only 5 hours or so, it was nice. So we packed all our stuff into the car in the morning and headed out around 6:15am. We arrived at the mountain around 10:15 and there was a sign saying, "power out, should be on shortly". Well we got our stuff on and headed to the chalet because i neglected to visit the rest room in edson or i drank too much coffee, one or the other. Anyway, we waited and waited and waited, and well the power never returned. It sucked!!! So we went into town and went to our FAVORITE pizza place, Jasper Pizza Place. It's amazing, for all of you who are going to jasper i highly suggest stopping in for some pizza. we walked around town and then headed to Hinton(where we were staying). The one thing we could possibly do was go in the pool/hot tub but someone!!(namely me) forgot the bathing suits cuz I didn't know there was all that there. so we had a three hour nap and woke around 7:15(richard thought it was 7 in the morning). We ordered in BP's and watched a couple movies and the hockey game. It was fantastic. Decklan had a great weekend with gramma and grandpa S. and we had a good weekend away. Thank you guys again!
