shots, birthday, CIRCUS!!!

Decklan had his 6 months shots on wednesday. we weighed him, measured him and got him prepped to only be poked twice this time around. He of course wasn't very happy with the lady but she said he had good legs to give needles to, i believe she called them THUNDER THIGHS!! i laughed so hard when she said that. anyway, he did good and was in good enough condition to watch daddy play soccer that night. On Saturday it was my birthday. I turned the big 25....can you believe it?? already a quarter century. oh well....It was a good birthday though. Richard had this elaborate plan.
he came rushing in after work babbling something about having to bring decklan to his parents place by 4:00 and that he forgot his jacket in the car and if i could go get it. so i go and find a bouquet of flowers in the car. I came back in the house and he says, oh i meant 4:45, so we have time. so we load up the car and start heading to sherwood park, then at 50st he says oh, we're not going to sherwood park we're going for dinner to red robin's. I was like sweet!!! and then during dinner he says we're not going to see the movie you wanted to see, we're going to see Drew's(his cousin) movie at the princess theatre. i was like, awesome. so we finish dinner and start going, quickest way from where we were was down 75st(wayne gretzky drive) so we are by the coliseum and there's a lot of people there. I say, "wow there's a lot of people here, aren't the oilers in columbus?" and then i say, oh ya! the circus is in town. to which richard replies, oh really?? i was like, ya every year on my birthday the circus is in town. i look at him and he smiles, turns the signal light on and we turn into the parking lot, he says we're not going to see drew's movie, we're going to the circus. but first we have to wait here for more people....then jonathan showed up and Aimee and steve showed up a little later!! all in all it was a great night, but i told richard i was half dissapointed and super excited at the same time! I was excited to have a night to ourselves and go to a movie i really wanted to see, but i was also happy to be going to Drew's movie cuz i want to see that as well, and then i was SUPER happy to be going to the circus. He sure fooled me.
On saturday Laine and i went to the mom and tot show and then natalie and dave came over in the afternoon and brought me an ice cream cake from DQ and then i went to bingo and the casino with my mom. then on sunday we went to my parents place for dinner with Chris and Ashley. We ate dinner and then played cranium, for those of you who've ever met my dad, imagine him acting out Elvis Stojko and my mom trying to guess!! hilarious!
