So yesterday Decklan had a little play date kinda, well as play date as it can get when he can't really move or do anything. My friend Jonathan has been trying to get me to meet his friend Angela for the longest time. She and i both worked at Sport Check and quit pretty much at the same time in the summer, actually the same day. She was also pregnant and we ended up having our babies a day apart. Decklan on the 20th and Parker on the 21st. She was gonna have him on the 20th but was getting induced and was bumped for emergencies. Anyways, ever since then, even before we had them Jonathan has been trying to get us to hang out. So finally I contacted her though e-mail and she c
alled me a couple days after and we set up a time to get together. That day was yesterday. It was so nice to finally get out of the house during the day and hang out with another mom with kids Decklan's age. She also has a 3 year old. They're both so cute! It was nice, we had coffee, ate some cookies and had real conversation that had REAL words in it...not just a day full of...did you poop? aww you puked again...stop dropping that on the floor! KEEP IT DOWN CHATTER BOX!!!(that's what i say to him when he's incessantly "talking" at the top of his lungs, particularily when i'm on the phone. ) It was cute though, we had them both on the floor facing eachother and they just stared and kinda babbled at one another. So ya. it was nice and hopefully we'll be able to hang out more...
On another note, decklan's tooth is becoming more prominent and we've bought him a little baby tooth brush. it's so cute!!! so small with nice soft bristles. He's still reaching for everything as usual. Yesterday actually, while i was drinking some juice he reached for the cup and got very excited. So i brought it near him and he grabbed the handle with one hand and the outside of the cup with the other
one. He brought the cup to his mouth and tipped it a little. I helped him along until he was able to get a little bit of juice on his tongue. he more lapped up the juice by sticking his tongue in the cup, but it was amazing to see nonetheless. I do have few pictures to post, but the camera isn't hooked up to this computer right now but they will be
