this was our little area that we spent quite a few days in. the man with the fire is sexy stripper vic, who was part of the fire show. we walked to this pier that looked really close but wasn't AT ALL, and then found this little chapel out there. inside there was a stone pedestal and the ten commandments on it. kinda neat. those were all the tables set up with merchants every second or third night or so, depending on the kind of show that was happenening. and that was richard petting a crab.

ola!!
So Richard and i went to mexico for 2 weeks on his leave and it was more than amazing. Neither of us has ever experienced anything like that before and it was wonderful. i was so nice to finally see him.

this was on our way to Las Caletas island for the Rhythms of the Night tour. It's a fire show choreographed by the people who did cirque du soleil. very awesome. you take a boat there and show up as the sun goes down and the whole island is lit by torches. you go to your table, eat and then head to the show. it was amazing. that's the view from our balcony. we also went to a restaurant called Fat boys...such tasty food, ordered waaayyy too much. and those were two of our favorite guys, pato and rigo. they were part of the entertainment crew and were AMAZING.

there were some hammocks you could snooze in if you felt so inclined, especially during the day after one too many cervesas. that's our little preferred club beach area, right next to the bar with little umbrellas and such. i can't remember why richard was so happy, but if you can see the aloe vera there, a SUPER white girl burned the day before and they were leaving and couldn't take it home, so she gave it to us. VERY HANDY! and these birds you can see on top of the fish wall...they would come and land on the tables after people had left and steal the crackers outta the holder. it was pretty funny actually. and that is the infinity pool. very neat.

so this was the first night i got there, sweet mini bar, beers, mini bottles, m & m's and chips! awesome. The bed was normal made and then for turn down they came and put these beads on the bed and a honeymoon sign on the door and ran a bubble bath. super nice. only thing is, richard never ended up showing up until the next morning sooo....ya. very cool anyway.
