so sorry

ok well, apparently we're not so good at keeping up with the blog thing. I find when richard is home i don't spend a whole lot of time on the computer so i apologize for the lack of blog. anyway, Decklan is now 19 months old and gettin' into all sorts of trouble. He's graduated at daycare from the baby room to the toddler room since he can feed himself with utensils and such, well he tries to at least. he normally tips the spoon or fork before it gets to his mouth so it takes him quite a while to eat sometimes. He loves loves loves pizza and pasta just like his dad. he's learned that after he's been changed, he knows where the garbage is and he takes the diaper there and throws it away.

He still isn't talking but he talks in his own sorta language and i'd really like to know what he's saying. he often goes off on this huge long conversation and then he looks at you like, did you get that? He does say some things. He still says hot when he sees candles or steam/smoke. and waves his little arm around, he also knows if the stove is hot and will open the drawer and put my oven mitts on if i've put something in there. He pretty much can reach anything on the table or counter and remembers where things are by scoping them out while he's in his high chair. He loves throwing the ball around the house, doesn't matter what ball as long as he can throw it.

We've been working on a little bit of french, he knows le nez, la bouche, les yeux and les oreilles. Yesterday he starting saying nez. that's nose, mouth, eyes and ears for those non bilingual folks. he's also started to put his hands in the air and cheer any time a hockey game comes on. doesn't matter who's playing, it's always exciting for him.

apparently at daycare he belly bumps kids sometimes and knocks them over, instead of pushing them...neither are good, but i never thought he'd use his tummy for that haha. and when he's got a dirty diaper he walks backwards until he runs into someone to change him. it's going really well for him though, he still really seems to enjoy it and they enjoy having him. I've got many pictures to post so I'll save some room.

memere and pepere got decklan a bike that they keep at their house, and he's also been caught red handed stealing cheerios out of the cupboard. he also loves to play the piano at gramma and grandpa's house. and he still loves his remote controls and phones
